Our mission – our why

What does Voices for CASA Children do?

Youth need a voice during a time of disruption and uncertainty. VOICES champions positive outcomes for children who have experienced abuse or neglect by promoting and supporting volunteer child advocacy through Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers and cultivating communities that understand and embrace the importance of safe and permanent homes and connections for Arizona youth.

About us

What is a Court Appointed Special Advocate?

Be a voice for youth living in foster care

Becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) means showing up for a child who needs a consistent adult in their life. As a CASA volunteer, you play a unique and vital role in the lives of children: helping ensure their needs are met, advocating on their behalf, and being a supportive presence during one of the most uncertain times in a child’s life. If you’re ready to make a real difference, we’re here to guide you through every step of the journey.

It is an amazing feeling to see children smile and to see them either back home with their family or in a safe, loving home. It is the most rewarding thing I can do.

-CASA Volunteer

As long as you keep showing up, children begin to believe they have someone they can trust. That makes a huge difference.

-CASA Volunteer

The thought of children not having that one person to advocate for them was heartbreaking, so I wanted to make sure every child has someone who is there for them.

-CASA Volunteer

Many children are used to people not showing up for them, so when you do, it can make a meaningful difference in their lives.

-CASA Volunteer

There are many moving parts and people involved in each case, and the CASA provides a steady presence throughout. From the beginning of a case through permanency, the child knows there is someone who will be there for them and will not change.
