When children experience trauma, it changes the way they think and behave. It is often difficult to understand their behavior let alone find effective ways to help and provide protection from negative outcomes.
In this training, particiants will obtain a greater understanding of the impact of trauma and Adverse Childhood Expereinces (ACEs) and how they impact children’s behavior and development. In addition, participants will explore trauma-informed ways to support children in developing skills that promote their healthy growth and developement. Participants will also engage in a variety of activities and small group discussions that will prepare CASA volunteers to take action through small but significant steps.
